How to Install your Cocoon Connect Door/Window Sensor

Different Types of Doors, Windows, and Trim

There are many type of doors, windows, and trims in the home and these will be differ from house to house.
Depending on your home you may have to install your Door and Window Sensor in specific ways.

There are two main parts of the Door/Window sensor:

• The Sensor - larger white part 
• The closure magnet - smaller grey part  

To mount peel off the mounting tape and stick onto the back of the sensor. Adhere the sensor onto the door or window you want to monitor, repeat the previous step with the closure magnet adhering this to the opposite side of the door/window when in the closed position. If you use the double-sided tape we recommend cleaning the area that the sensor and closure magnet will be adhered to as to create a stronger join.

There are also mounting screws provided if that is preferred for a more solid connection.

Please note:

Always ensure that the notched side of the sensor is facing the closure magnet.

The sensor and closure magnet should be no more than one centimetre apart when the door is closed for reliable function.

Only install the door sensor on the opening side of the door, not the side with the hinge.
