Creating a home
Sharing your devices with other home members is a great way to connect your whole home.
Homes are created for multiple accounts to access the same smart products.
You can setup Administrators and Home Members. Administrators can manage device, smart, room and home members. Home Members can only use devices and scenes.
To create a home, follow these steps:
- Open the Cocoon Connect Application.
- Select the ‘Me’ icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Select ‘HomeManagement’ button.
- Type in the name of your Home.
Next you can add your home location, select what rooms are in your home and add more rooms if required.
- Select ‘Save’ to finish creating your home.
You can now view your home under the ‘Home Management’ tab.
Select your home name to edit your home.
In this window you will be able to change your home name, manage your rooms, change your home location, add members or delete your home.
- Add Member
To add a member to your home, select the ‘Add Member’ button.
Type in your home members name and Cocoon Connect account details (email or phone number used to register account).
Select 'Family Role' to select if the Home member is a 'Common Member' or 'Administrator'.
NOTE: Common Members can only access the device and use smart settings.
Administrators can manage, edit and change devices, rooms, smart settings etc.
7. Select ‘Save’ to finish creating your home.
This will send a request via Cocoon Connect’s Message Centre to the added member to join your home.
The request can be accepted under the 'Home Management' on the added account.
